Munda
New Georgia village with WWII history, lagoons, and barrier-reef diving.
Munda sits on the southern coast of New Georgia in the Solomon Islands' Western Province — a small village built around a former WWII airstrip that today serves as the gateway to some of the country's best lagoon and barrier-reef diving. The surrounding Roviana and Vona Vona lagoons hold mangrove channels, skull shrines, and a string of small uninhabited islands.
